CHARACTER

NAME: Misato Katsuragi
AGE: 29
OCCUPATION: Teacher/Dreamer
BACKGROUND: Born and raised in Japan, Misato awoke to her dreamer powers at age 14 after her father, a scientist studying the Dream Sphere, was left brain dead following a Nightmare attack. She's devoted her life since then to the Dream Sphere and fighting the Nightmares. Outwardly, it's mostly done now through mentorship and teaching of other young Dreamers at the Dreamer Union's academy. Privately, she still wages her own war as Dreamer Hollow, contemptuous of the Union which she feels does not properly prepare Dreamers for the reality of the fight they have been encouraged to take on.

In her public life, she's friendly, flirtatious, and charming. In her private life, she's a mess. Despite best effort, few people have been let inside of arm's length of Misato Katsuragi, and she likes it that way.

Or that's what she says, anyway.

POWERS

• Grasp of Leliel: This power allows Hollow to make use of her shadow(s) as weapons of a sort. By activating this power, anyone standing within her shadow is rooted to the ground and unable to move, making them an easier target for Dreamer Hollow and her allies. As the power grows stronger, she may be able to expand her shadows beyond their normal casting area, or even use them to reach out and snare people beyond their immediate reach.
  
  Any light or darkness that stops Hollow from casting a shadow will negate this power.


• Hollow Mine: By imbuing an object or spot on the ground with her power, Hollow can cause it to explode on command or when in the proximity of an enemy, dealing indiscriminate damage to the surrounding area.

IN CHARACTER PERMISSIONS

PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Physically affectionate with other adults, especially when drunk. Also affectionate with her students, but more in the way of ruffling hair and patting heads. Platonic touch is generally accepted, but if you get fresh there's a slap coming.
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: In the waking world, she's a practitioner of Judo and isn't afraid of throwing hands if the need arises. The same is even more true int he Dream Sphere, where she wields a variety of weapons against the Nightmares without remorse. So go for it, if you wanna fight.
RELATIONSHIPS: Oh this is MESSY. She's currently in a complicated physical and emotional relationship with a former student that neither of them are willing to admit is more than platonic. Besides that, Misato is absolutely not equipped to have a healthy relationship with anyone, and she does her best to keep everyone at arm's length because of her focus on the Nightmares. Feel free to try but it might not go well.
OTHER: She's got a lot of baggage wrapped up in her father and the lack of resolution in their relationship following his untimely death. Also very defensive about the way she lives her life (that is, complete mess outside of the work). Poking these subjects is going to get her angry.
